Published on: March 25, 2026
Mercado Libre has announced a commercial agreement with Agility Robotics to integrate its humanoid robot, Digit, into fulfillment operations. The initial deployment will take place at a facility in San Antonio, Texas, with potential expansion across Latin America.
Digit will support warehouse tasks such as moving materials and handling repetitive, physically demanding work. The goal is to improve efficiency, reduce labor shortages, and enhance workplace safety by allowing employees to focus on higher-value activities.

Already used in real industrial environments, Digit operates at human scale and can work within existing warehouse layouts without requiring major infrastructure changes, and has proven its capabilities by moving over 100,000 totes in live operations.
Powered by AI, Digit can learn and adapt to new workflows and integrates with existing systems through Agility Robotics’ cloud platform, enabling coordination with other automation technologies.
This partnership reflects Mercado Libre’s strategy to adopt emerging technologies to optimize logistics and scale operations across its network.
Mercado Libre (https://investor.mercadolibre.com/) is one of Latin America’s largest e-commerce and fintech platforms, while Agility Robotics (https://www.agilityrobotics.com/) is a U.S.-based company focused on developing commercially viable humanoid robots for real-world industrial use.
